Contributor Terms

Last updated: 2026-10-06

These terms apply when you join the Eelam Lab contributor list or submit material to us. By submitting, you agree to them.

1. What you grant us

You keep ownership of your contributions. You grant Eelam Lab a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, modify, transcribe, annotate and create derivative works from your contributions in order to train, evaluate, improve and operate Nila models and datasets.

You also agree that Eelam Lab may sublicense or license those models and datasets, including your contributions as part of them, to third parties.

2. Your promises

You confirm that you own what you submit, or that it is in the public domain, and that submitting it does not breach anyone else's rights, including copyright and privacy.

If your contribution includes another person's voice or personal information, you confirm that they have agreed to it being used under these terms.

You are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, or you have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Withdrawal

You can withdraw future use of your contributions at any time by emailing privacy@eelamlab.com. Withdrawal does not affect models already trained before your request.

4. No payment

Contributions are voluntary and unpaid unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5. Acceptable content

Do not submit material that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or that identifies someone without their consent. We may remove any contribution at our discretion.

6. Disclaimers and liability

The site and our models are provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, Eelam Lab is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your participation.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are material we will email contributors and record the new version before relying on it.
